About Us

Who are we?

Campbell and Company is a long-established and highly respected firm of solicitors, working within the Scottish legal system. We specialise in specific areas of civil law, including conveyancing, property sales, wills & executors and child protection. We are a member of GSPC.

Do you deal with criminal matters?

No we operate only within the civil courts. Solicitors specialising in this area can be found here

As a client, do I need to provide identification?

Yes. As solicitors practicing in Scotland, we are bound by the terms of The Money Laundering Regulations 2007, which requires that all firms assess the risk for each business transaction and ensure that they have sufficient information to verify the identity of a client. In short, we have to be sure that the client is who they say they are. If we cannot satisfy ourselves as to a client's identity, then we cannot act on their behalf. Identity is required to prove the client's name and address. The best form of identification is a current passport or a current driving licence.

How much will it cost?

Cost is important to everyone and we will be pleased to give you an estimate how much you are likely to have to pay in total for our legal services and will tell you how the bills are worked out.

We will always charge you a reasonable and competitive fee which will take account of: the amount of work and the time involved (including how complicated, difficult or novel the matter is); the level of specialised knowledge, responsibility and supervision needed; the length, number and importance of any documents which need to be prepared or read; the place and circumstances in which the work is done; the urgency of the case and the amount of money or value of any property involved.
